Having a balanced diet and exercise will help us stay healthy and loss weight

There are mant approaches to losing weight. For example, you throw out all the chocolates, french fries and hamburgers and you tell yourself that you are not going to eat it anymore. Then you loss weight. That is wonderful. However through a lack of discipline, you can gain back the weight again.

So my view is that not all dieting is really healthy. Let me give example of  how dieting affects your body and how to go about and hit your long term weight loss goals.

The most horrible part of starving oneself  in a diet, is that your metabolism rate will go down. When this happens, your body will actually burn less fat. which make it harder to loss weight. This happen if your diet plan, forced you to cut your carbohydrates and fat intake in a large way.  This will not only not help you loss weight, but it will also harm your body in the long run.

So the trick is to eat and exercise moderately. Many people on a diet programs think that to loss weight, one must cut down on a lot of food. This is not true. To stay healthy you must eat in a moderate way and also to exercise well. This two must go hand in hand. To eat well, we need to have our basics 3 meals a day. We need to have a balanced diet of carbohydrates, protein and fats. Yes we do need fats in our body for your information. Don’t avoid fats totally. They are essentials to our body devlopment. We also need a moderate form of exercise to stay healthy and loss weight. Balanced in the key to loss weight and stay healthy.

Hi everyone, recently i have been doing a lot of weight training and running. But i discover that though i am discipline in my training, i have not been discipline in my eating. As a singaporeans i eat chicken rice quite often. Chicken rice can be very unhealthy. As it is full of fats and oil. This lead me to my next article. Stay tuned

Some facts about isotonic drinks

Isotonic drinks are becoming increasing popular. They are preferred over water by many sportmen. Th reasons is it can help replace of water and sodium in the body and prevent  dehydration. Athletes often feel they have a better performance when drinking this instead of water.

 When a body gets a big workout from running or playing a sport, it loses sodium and carbohydrates that are needed for energy to maintain the endurance it needs for a top performance. An isotonic drink contains a small amount of sodium and carbohydrates to replenish the loss.

When you look at the term ‘isotonic’, it can be broken down to ‘iso’ and ‘tonic’. Iso comes from Greek terminology meaning equal. Tonos refers to pressure. Putting the two words together creates the word isotonic. In isotonic drinks, there is the same concentration of sodium as can be found in blood plasma.

Sodium is lost in the body when you sweat. When you lose sodium, you also reduce the amount of water that you can excrete from the body also. The body absorbs sodium through the small intestine. Water is taken from the body when sodium is absorbed into the blood. When sodium is lost from the body through sweating, the amount of water that is excreted from the body is reduced.

Isotonic drinks also replenish dehydration. Dehydration is responsible for impairing someone’s sporting performance drastically. When you drink more than just water but a drink that includes sodium and carbohydrates then you truly re-hydrate the body properly. These types of drinks are far more effective than just drinking water.

Performance can lack when you drink just water to rehydrate the body. This is because water doesn’t contain what the body needs to be truly hydrated. The type of event a person is competing or taking part in doesn’t matter. Some people think that isotonic drinks are for those in endurance events but this is not the case. Even an aerobic class or a 10 mile run can benefit from drinking replenishing drinks like these because they can help the body have the endurance it needs.

Many people think that they cannot afford isotonic drinks also. This should not be of any concern either. If you are working out every day and cannot afford to buy cases of these drinks to keep your body healthy and hydrated then you can make your own. All you have to do is add a pinch of salt to a bottle of water. The sodium is what you need.

Isotonic drinks are very good for the body and they can help anyone make it through an aerobics class or through a competitive sporting event. These drinks replenish the body with the needed sodium it needs so it can have the endurance to make it through an event. They provide replenishment to rehydrate and increase the body’s energy too. The best thing any athlete can do is drink isotonic drinks and if you cannot afford them then make them yourself.

Keeping fit and loss weight through playing tennis

Tennis a wonderful game. It is played worldwide. It is a great game to loss weight and keeps fit. You can loss a lot of calories and build muscle too by playing tennis. 

If you do not know how to play tennis, the first thing you need to do is to learn the game as well as the rules. Tennis is one of the simplest sports to pick up. You could hire a coach to teach you, or you could just learn from friends. I believe after a few rounds of game, you should be able to at least master the basics. However if you are a beginner, I advise hiring a coach to teach you, as you need to master the basics stroke of the game. Once you master this game, you are on your way to keeping fit and loss weight.

You should also begin to learn the rules of the game. The rules of this game are very simple. It is quite similar to badminton. Take note of all the rules of the game. Learn the game inside out, the various strokes and techniques. Learn the proper serving techniques and the boundaries change with singles and doubles. For tennis adapting the right posture and stroke is very important.  Try to observe professional players and their posture and stroke.

Do also get a partner to play with you. Tennis is a game where you can play both singles and double. If you are young and fit, try to play single. If you feel you are less fit, playing double for a start is fine. Playing both singles and doubles will make you loss weight and be fit at the same time.  Find a good partner that will not only play with you, but will also keep you motivated. Find someone who is active, is fit and can play well. You will be motivated to succeed also.

Do remember to purchase the right equipment for the game. A nice racket and some balls should be enough for a start. I recommend buying at least 50 balls, as tennis ball has a habit of been loss very easily.

When you enjoy the game and play hard, you will loss weight and stay fit in the process. Remember play this game to enjoy itself, and the benefits will come later.

Advise for married couple to stay fit and healthy

There are many things in a married life that can stress up everyone.  Work issues, financial issues, children issues and so many more things. When that happened, couples will also loss heart and they will not take care of their health and many of them fall sick. Many times if person is stressed, he will not exercise and eat right, thus becoming very unhealthy. 

That is something I believe for a married couple to stay fit and healthy, they need to have a healthy sex life. Let have some straight talk here, since we are all adults. A healthy sex life is very important in a relationship. When your sexual passion fade in a relationship, your relationship will suffer. Of course sex is not the most important things in a relationship, but it is surely does play a big role. 

That is why I believe that if you plan to exercise and loss weight, a good healthy sex life is important. A good healthy lifestyle will improve your self-image and make you more confident. When you are more confident you will be a much happier and contented person. When you are happy and contented, you will be more motivated to look good and exercise.  Studies have shown that a person with a healthy sex life will be more happy and confident. Many of them will begin to exercise right, eat right to maintain a good health and weight. Conservative person will not agree with me. However look around you and you see that what I say is true. A happy person will surely be more motivated to exercise and maintain their health.

Can sex help a person loss weight?

Today I am going to discuss a very sensitive topic. But I believe since we are all mature adults, so this is one area which I must address. That is can sex help a married couple loss weight? I believe sex can directly or indirectly help a person loss weight. This is because many of us have emotional needs that are not meet. When a person have emotional needs that are not met, he will tend to eat more to fill up the vacuum in his life.  However when you are in a happy marriage that is secure and loving with a good sex partner. Your emotionally needs will be met and you will not turn to food for comfort.

Studies have shown that when you have sexy satisfaction, your brain will stop receiving signals asking you to eat more, because the same good factor in sex has been released.

Another good thing about sex is that it can help you reduce stress. Stress has been known to make a person gain weight. When you are stress you tend to reach for all the unhealthy snacks and soft drinks. Studies have shown that sex can indeed help a person reduce stress. By been more relax with your partners, you will feel more contented with life and get a better night sleep. As you know good night sleeps really helps a person loss weight and reduce stress at the same time. This will prevent a person from over-eating.

Another benefit of sex is that it is a good exercise. It is proven that a 30 minutes of sexual activity can help a person loss about 100 calories. It will also help you tone your body, and will make you more attractive. Sex is also known to help in blood circulation, increase your heart rate as well as reduce your cholesterol level. Sex increases your hormone level and revitalising your mind and body.

Therefore to answer that question of whether sex can help a person loss weight? The answer is yes. Do remember however to keep sex within the marriage only.

Eating a healthy breakfast

Well today I am going to talk about a very important issue. That is breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  This is because it is a start of a day and a healthy breakfast will give us a new renewed energy for the day whether it is at work, at school or at play. That means to stay healthy never compromise breakfast.

To eat a good breakfast, it is important to brush your teeth and comb your hair so that you will enjoy your breakfast even more. For breakfast it is better to choose food that is easily prepared, so that you will have enough time to eat your food without rushing.

Now let me now recommend you what are the food that I think would be a healthy and well balanced breakfast. This list is definitely not complete, but I believe just taking this few food I recommend can surely make you healthier.

Milk- Who can forget milk? The staple food of our generation for as long as we can remember. It is very important that every growing children drink milk every day. Milk can be added into cereal like oats which will really taste well. Milk can also be added into coffee and tea.

Cereals- Cereals are perfect food. It gives us energy to carry out our daily activities. And most of all it is low in fat

Fruit- Fruit are one of the best food that we human should eat more to stay healthy. And breakfast is the best time to consume them. Fruits rich in Vitamin C like oranges and papaya should be consumed often. If time permit you can make fruit salad for breakfast too.

Protein food- Eating protein food is necessary to not only build up your body, but to also repair worn out tissues. The best protein food is of course eggs which is easy to prepare. However try to avoid eye yolk if possible as they can be high in cholesterol. However if you have to consume them do so in moderation.

Bread- Bread is one of the favourite breakfast foods as it is cheap and requires no cooking. Bread contains carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.  The type of bread I would strongly recommend is wholemeal bread.  Wholemeal bread is bread in its purest form with all the necessary nutrients and minerals. Wholemeal bread is more nourishing than white bread. I will further discuss this topic in a another post.

Remember to stay healthy, eat well for breakfast.
